The Google Chrome team has released on Wednesday Chrome 11 to the Stable Channel, and is available now for all the major platforms (Windows, Linux, Chrome Frame and Mac).
If you have been running Google Chrome 11 Beta, you have already seen most of what is new. One of the big improvements in the new version is the Speech input through HTML, which allows you to translate speech-to-text right from the Web browser, option that now also comes enabled by default, and of course it also brings many security and bug fixes.
Do you want to start playing with the speech-to-text feature? First, you need to install the Speechify extension from the Chrome Web Store and then you can start playing with this demo HTML5 Presentation that Google made available to test text recognition engine, or you also can try using speech with Google Translate by clicking the microphone in the bottom-right of the input box, speak your text, select a language and hit the translate.
