Desktop Fun: Dual monitor Nightfall and Starlight panoramic theme for Windows 8

Nightfall and Starlight panoramic Windows 8 theme

This is the first official Windows 8 theme from Microsoft: Nightfall and starlight panoramic is an awesome set of wallpapers created to expand across dual monitors, also changes the Aero glass color on each image.

This theme comes with 9 panoramic wide-angle images of stunning places: Steep mountains, distant galaxies, verdant meadows, and the beautiful sea.

If you’ve been running Windows 8, you may already tried the Windows 7 themes and they are totally compatible. However, Windows 8 themes are not compatible with Windows 7, they even have different file extensions: *.themepack for Win 7 and *.deskthemepack for Win 8. Now, if you want to display this images in your Windows 7 PC, you still can, just rename the file from *.deskthemepack to *.zip, then simply extract the images from the compressed file.

Tip: If you don’t see the images extended across your dual monitor setup, go to Personalization, then to Desktop Background and, under Picture positions, choose the Span option and finally click Save changes.

You can find more great themes in Pureinfotech — Desktop Fun section and from the Windows Personalization Gallery. More Windows 8 themes can be found here.
