One of the new hundreds of Windows 8′s features is the toast notifications, which are pop-ups from apps that appear on the upper right corner of the screen. They are great, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes they can be a little bit annoying when you are watching a video, a movie or when you are just doing something where you need to be totally focus. So today, I want to share a really useful tip that will help you to live in harmony with the notification, by telling Windows 8 that in a specific period of time you don’t want to see any toast alert.
To disable the toast notifications for only a period of time do the following:
1 Use the +I to bring the Settings menu from the right.
2 Click Notifications and choose for which period of time you want to hide the toasts.
That’s all there is to it!
