Watch the entire Google I/O 2014 keynote (video)

Google I/O is the biggest event for developers on this platform, and this year at the conference, which took place in San Francisco, was filled with new introductions, updates, and new products from partners — like expected. Although, Google Glass was nowhere to be found, the company showcased its ambition to take over your television, hand wrist, and car, with the introduction of Android TV, new Android Wear smartwatch, and Android Auto.

The company also announced a new version of its mobile operating system, called “Android L” (a.k.a Android 5.0), with a new Windows “Metro” inspired design, which Google calls “Material Design” that add flatness to the UI and depth to elements in the screen, support for 64-bit chips, and new notification system help users interact with apps without even launching them.
