HTC One M8 running Windows Phone 8.1 finally arrives

Rumors about an HTC One handset running Windows Phone has been circulating since July, but today the company officially unveils the HTC One M8 running Windows Phone 8.1, exclusively on Verizon, and U.S. customers can get it today online or starting August 20 at the Verizon Wireless store.

HTC made the announcement today during its press event in New York City. Verizon Wireless already published a YouTube video showcasing the new phone. The video highlights the power of the new Windows Phone 8.1 features such as Cortana, Live Folders, and new third row to display more Live Tiles. And also shows off some of the hardware and software pre-loaded in the new HTC One M8, such as the Ultrapixel camera with HTC’s Duo Camera depth-sensing technology, photo editing and Blinkfeed app, and the BoomSound speakers.

The phone itself feature a very sleek aluminum design, same as the Android version, and powerful hardware.
