Microsoft releases out-of-band firmware update for Surface Pro 3 tablet, the update comes only a week after August Patch Tuesday, which also came with another firmware update and a new update for Windows 8.1.

The update isn’t significant the Microsoft website that list the changelog for Surface states: “Surface Pro UEFI (v3.9.150.0) adds features to display BIOS password state and asset tag information, as well as improving boot times in some scenarios.”

Surface users will get this update automatically, if you can’t wait, just go to Windows Update and make sure you’re installing the “System Firmware Update — 8/19/2014”.
