Surface Pro 3 is the most successful hybrid device Microsoft has shipped and it has become a billion dollar market for the company. The Surface Pro 3 is the best device on its class, it’s truly the tablet that can replace your laptop since it is a device that can run the full version of Windows, therefore also capable of running traditional desktop applications.
However, every device has to evolve and improve, today new information coming from Yahoo, indicates that we may see the Surface Pro 4 this year. The new tablet is expected to have two models and both will run Windows 10. Although, there is no specific details about the tech specs, it seems that it will feature a detachable kickstand to help use the device as laptop as well as a tablet.
According to the same report, there will be a 12-inch model featuring the same 2160 x 1440 pixels screen resolution, and it’s likely that we will also see another smaller model, reviving the Surface Pro Mini (8-inch) rumor.
While we heard many times before about a Surface mini, the rumors were true, Microsoft simply canceled the devices at the last-minute.
Although, there is no official word from Microsoft, we know that the company cannot depend in the Surface Pro 3 for a long time. The tablet needs a hardware refresh and if the company execute Windows 10 correctly, there are high hopes for the Surface Pro 4 to be a hit like its predecessor.
