Facebook app for Windows 8.1 updated with a lot of changes

Facebook app for Windows 8.1 update

Facebook has been updating its official app for Windows 8.1 quite frequently and today, as we are getting closer to the end of 2013, the social network giant has released a new update with substantial improvements and enhancements.

The newly updated version of the modern Facebook app for Windows 8.1 brings: profile sync, smileys sticker pack, a new option to log-out from your profile from the Settings page, improved toast notifications and remove already seen messages, old stories, and others, new Stories indicator.

Additionally you now can:

  • Snap the Facebook app at 320px
  • Edit Posts
  • Edit post privacy
  • Edit Comments
  • Copy link to post
  • Delete photos
  • Add friends to lists
  • Create albums from photos page
  • Add photos directly into an album
  • Search thread names when choosing conversation members
  • Refresh in Nearby
  • Add/Remove people from groups

Indeed it’s really nice to see the company adding and fixing the Facebook app this often. Although these are small changes, they pile up to be a significant update.

The update is ready now and if you don’t have the app installed in Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1, you can download it now from the Windows Store.
