As part of the Redstone 3 update, Windows 10 build 16179 rolled to testers delivering a new power throttling feature, and now allows Windows 10 Pro users to disable the Lock screen.

Microsoft announced that is targeting March and September of every year to release new feature updates of Windows 10, which also indicates that the upcoming Redstone 3 update will roll out to users sometime in September.

Surface Studio received an audio driver update enabling users to use Cortana to wake up the machine, and Surface Pro 3 gets new firmware update to improve the power related performance. Also, the Microsoft Authenticator app got updated this week with a new option to sign in to your Microsoft account without needing a password.

Microsoft To-Do released this week in preview, and it’s a new task management system app that will eventually replace the popular Wunderlist app.

Although we’re expecting the software giant to launch a new low-cost PC running Windows 10 Cloud, this week some documents leaked onto the internet revealing the minimum hardware specification required to run the new OS.

In addition, Microsoft made an early announcement of the four free games Xbox owners will be getting in May 2017, as part of the Games with Gold program.

This week you also learned a few new tips to get the most out of Windows 10, including the steps to manually upgrade to the Creators Update.
