Google has recently made big noticeable improvements to its line of Docs applications.

The new version of Google Docs brings a redesigned user interface that you will find very familiar with the Google+ UI. Plus, the company added new features to make you more productive. Other improvements has been also added to Google Presentation, Google Docs for Android and Sites. Keep reading to learn what is new in Google Docs, Android and Sites.

Google Docs new look:

Many users have been enjoying the new Google Docs for some time, and now is available for everyone to enjoy. The company made it more noticeable when your file is being auto-saved, they redesign the user interface to simple and clear; moreover new icons were also added to give you a better perspective who you are sharing the document with. You’ll also notice that options that were under the Share button (“Email as attachment”, “Email Collaborators”, and “Publish to the web”), now they are under the File menu. Finally, you can now customize the UI in document list to fit more onto a smaller screen with the new Density option.

If you still not ready for the new version, you can navigate through Help and select Use the classic look. Only remember that Google will support this just for a few more weeks. More detail on what is new in Google Docs?.

Google Presentation:

The search giant has release a new version of the web-based presentations. Now you’ll be able to create slides with animation, advanced slide transitions, also there is an improve support on themes, drawings, and tables. Additionally, Google Presentation improved the collaboration capability. You can work with many other people in the same presentation at the same time, you can see what the team is doing, chat, and view the revision history at any time you want. Charts support in Google Sites:

Wouldn’t you like to be able to embed spreadsheet charts in places other than just in the spreadsheet document? Now, in Google Sites, you can navigate through Insert and select Chart, browse the spreadsheet and display the chart you want. There is also an option you can choose to have your site update the chart in real-time, if someone is updating it in the source file.

Google Docs on android tablets:

Well, we don’t cover Android devices, but this was part of the new pack and I couldn’t just leave it out. Google has also released a new improve Google Docs for Android tables. Now applications can adapt properly to larger screen real estate, and the three-panel now let you view your documents as a list, list with thumbnails and details, all at the same time.
