Firefox 8 Download

Download Firefox 8 now before it is officially release via Mozilla’s FTP.

Firefox 8 final will be officially released tomorrow, November 8th, but for those who cannot wait the final build was already published on Mozilla’s FTP servers for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Continuing with the rapid release cycle the open source web browser has a new version, which this time is focus on the ability to control third-party add-on installations to prevent security issues that may occur, and not in a new user interface. In the past Firefox didn’t perform any kind of checks when installing third-party add-on and they were enable immediately without the user consent, which left the web browser open to many potential local attacks. Now in version 8 this gets fixed improving more security.

Another feature is the ability that Firefox now gives to the user to enable or disable specific add-ons after they are install and Firefox is launched.

Like always the newest Firefox release come with bug fixes and other improvements such as, using Twitter as a search engine.
