Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan update now available for download (video)

Microsoft rolls out today the new Lumia Cyan update which included Windows Phones 8.1 to compatible Lumia devices. In the new update customers will get the long-awaited Windows Phone 8.1 version of the mobile operating system, plus a few new features specifically designed for Lumia headset, such as Cortana, digital assistant similar to Siri, the new Action (notification) center, Wi-Fi Sense, a third column of Live Tiles and other home screen customizations, Word Flow keyboard, and a lot more.

Consumers will also find that the Nokia’s Lumia Cyan update the new Device Search. This a feature that allows to find anything from emails, to contacts, to songs in your smartphone by simply doing a search in Bing.

Internet Explorer 11 has also been updated, users will notice faster experience browsing the web and there an updated Calendar to track appointments, weather, and more. (Check source link below.)

Lumia Cyan delivers improvements to Nokia Camera, Creative Studio, and Storyteller apps. The new Nokia Device Hub included in the update will held Lumia owners to find missing accessories by letting them know where were used last. Also consumers will get suggestions for what apps they can use with a certain accessories.

Finally as part of the update Lumia Windows Phone owners will get a motion data app collects health and fitness information. And Miracast and Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy also gets support in the Cyan update.

The company says that Lumia Cyan update with Windows Phone 8.1 will start to roll out today to everyone, however not every Lumia device will get it right away, some devices will start getting the update in a few weeks.
