Microsoft gave us a first look at many new features in Windows 10, which are part of the next week release for Windows Insiders. As we’ve been predicting, the software maker unveil its plan to connect all devices more seamlessly with universal apps. The company showed off an early version of Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook and Calendar, People and a new Photos app that works across Windows 10 and the version of the operating for phones.

Also the company demoed Cortana running on a PC using natural-language, and many new features for Windows 10 including Continuum mode, project Spartan web browser, a more integrated OneDrive experience, and a new Xbox experience in your PC.

Microsoft also announced the Surface Hub, an 84-inch 4K screen aimed for business customers, featuring microphones, speakers, cameras, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, and a touch-enabled screen that works perfectly with a stylus pen.

Perhaps the biggest surprise in the event was Microsoft’s virtual reality headset call HoloLens that uses Windows Holographic set of APIs embedded in Windows 10 and makes possible to bring holographic imagery to the real world.
