Microsoft pushes a new update for Windows 10 build 10240 with eight days left until the public release of the operating system. This time the software makers is rolling out KB3074674, but there isn’t information at the moment to what the new patch addresses.
According to the Microsoft support page, KB3074674 is a cumulative security update that “resolves a vulnerability in Windows that could allow elevation of privilege if the Windows Installer service incorrectly runs custom action scripts.”
“Additionally, this update includes non-security-related changes to enhance the functionality of Windows 10 through new features and improvements. “
Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider Program, Tweeted the announcement early today.

This is not the only update the company released for Windows 10, earlier this week Microsoft made available KB3074667, which is another patch that resolved a security vulnerability in the operating system.
And last weekend, the company also released a small update described as KB3074665 to fix several bugs and patch a few security wholes.
The new update KB3074674 is available for download immediately and it’s an update that requires to restart your system.
