Microsoft began to send invitations to media companies to participate in the next Windows 10 devices event. The software maker is now confirming that will be holding a press event in New York on October 6th to present a number of new devices running Windows 10.

The hardware event will take place at Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York City.

While the invitation doesn’t share details on new devices Microsoft is planning to introduce, we have previously heard that the company is planning to unveil the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft Band 2, and two new premium Windows 10 Phones, including the Lumia 950 (Cityman) and Lumia 950 XL (Talkman).

However, it’s worth pointing out that the new Microsoft products aren’t expected to hit the shelves on October 6th. For example, according to Mary Jo Foley, the software giant is likely to begin shipping the new Surface Pro 4 sometime in November. The new premium Lumia phones and the Microsoft Band 2 also are likely to ship during the holiday season.

As for information about these new products, we don’t have a lot of details. Thus far we know that Microsoft may be working on introducing two models of the new Surface Pro 4 — a 12-inch and a 13- to 14-inch display —. We’re also expecting to see a Surface Pro 4 that is faster using the new Intel Skylake processor and a design that is thinner and lighter than the Surface Pro 3.

The design and form factor will continue to be similar to the Surface Pro 3, but we might see a smaller bezel, which will make the screen feel larger. Furthermore, we may see some new Surface Pro 4 accessories, such as a new Type keyboard, docking station, and more.

Microsoft is also planning to launch two new premium Lumia phones: The Lumia 950 XL (Cityman), which will features a 5.7-inch display, 20-megapixel camera, and 3GB of RAM. The Lumia 950 (Talkman) will be a smaller phone featuring a 5.2-inch display, 20-megapixel camera, and 3GB of RAM, and both phones will include USB Type-C port and Windows Hello support. This is according to leaked information.

The Microsoft Band 2 seems that won’t be running Windows 10 or even Windows 10 IoT, instead Microsoft will be using a new firmware-based solution. However, according to sources the fitness band will be part of the Windows 10 family of products.

Finally, for those Windows enthusiasts who are wondering, Microsoft will be live streaming the event on October 6th, 2015, at 10AM EST.
