Amazon brings its music app to the Microsoft Store on Windows 10. Following Spotify footsteps, the tech giant is making available its “Amazon Music” streaming app through the Store, but it isn’t an Universal Windows App (UWP), it’s just the classic desktop app already available to customers.
Currently, the Amazon Music app is available for download in the US, UK, Germany, Australia, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan, and on x86 devices running the Windows 10 version 1607 (Anniversary Update) and later.
While you’re still getting a classic app in the Store, it’s good to see big companies starting to embrace the Microsoft Store to distribute their apps. In the music section, Spotify was the first coming to the Store, followed by Amazon, and Apple is expected to follow with its iTunes app (we just don’t exactly know when).
