Amazon will be hosting its Prime Day fire-sale event on July 16, and even though, the event doesn’t fall in a national holiday, it’s widely celebrated.
If you’re not familiar, Prime Day started back in 2015, when the company celebrated its 20th anniversary by offering big discount for an entire day, and ever since it became an annual tradition for Amazon to have Black Friday-like discounts sometime in mid-July.
In 2018, Amazon’s Prime “Day” is happening on July 16 at 3PM ET (12PM PT) and will run for 36 hours through July 17.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’ll be able to take advantage of big discounts on thousands of Amazon and non-Amazon-branded products.
What kind of discounts to expect during Prime Day?
Usually, Prime Day brings deals on Amazon-branded products, such as Fire TV, Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers, and the popular echo show for $129.99 (regular $229.99).
If you’re a Whole Foods Market shopper, during Amazon Prime Day, this year, members will receive an additional 10 percent discount on many items.
Along with Amazon specific products, you can expect a slew of deals on virtually every category.
How to track all the Prime Day deals?
In order to keep up with all the deals, you can download the Amazon assistant on your web browser. Or you can check the Watch a deals section in the Amazon mobile app.
Just remember to shop smart, and don’t get carried away as many discounts won’t be better than deals you can already find on Amazon or other websites.
You can make sure that you’re grabbing a good deal by checking the item you want online, or websites like CamelCamelCamel, which keeps a history track of Amazon prices.
