During the October 2019 hardware event in New York City, Microsoft unveiled a number of new products, including the new Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, and Surface Pro X. And if you have been waiting to get the latest tech that the company has to offer, these devices are now available, and the best places to order them are at the Microsoft Store and Amazon.
Surface Pro 7
Although the Surface Pro 7 doesn’t change the design from the previous version, it’s a faster device featuring Intel’s 10th Generation processor with Iris Plus graphics.
Microsoft claims up to 10.5 hours of battery life with faster charging technology that should charge from zero to 80 percent in less than an hour. Also, the Surface Pro 7 now features a USB-C port, but without thunderbolt support, higher quality “Studio Mics,” type Covers are available in blue and red.
The Surface Pro 7 starts at $749 for the base mode. It’s available now in many retailers around the world, but the best places to get it is at the Microsoft Store and Amazon.
Surface Laptop 3
If you’re in the market for a new laptop, the new Surface Laptop 3 is a great choice. However, you now will have to make the choice between the 13.5-inch or a new 15-inch model, Intel or AMD processors, or Alcantara or metal finish.
The Surface Laptop 3 13.5-inch comes with an Intel 10th Generation processor, and it’s now comes with an Alcantara fabric finish or machined aluminum metal finish. (Colors available include Sandstone and Cobalt.)
Then there’s the Surface Laptop 3 15-inch model that features a larger screen using a special edition of an AMD Ryzen processor with integrated graphics. (Colors available include black and silver.)
These devices offered a new keyboard that should make typing more comfortable with a full 1.33mm key travel, and the trackpad is now with a 20 percent larger.
This new generation includes a USB Type-A and USB Type-C, and faster charging to up to 80 percent in an hour.
Also, these laptops now have removable hard drives. However, it’s something that Microsoft is touting as a privacy feature for organizations to make sure that data can be destroyed properly. But you should still be able to replace the drive for a bigger capacity or replace a broken drive.

Surface Pro X
Microsoft also introduced the Surface Pro X, which is a new fanless tablet featuring a semi-custom Qualcomm ARM processor that carries the SQ1 name, and two USB-C ports, as well as LTE connectivity.
The device sports a 13-inch display on a 12-inch chassis with super slim bezels. Also, there’s a new Type Cover that now includes a compartment near the top edge to magnetically store the new “Slim Pen,” which now comes with a rechargeable battery that charges automatically using induction charging technology.
Just like the Surface Laptop 3, the Surface Pro X includes a removable Solid-State Drive (SSD), which you can replace for security reasons or upgrade purposes with a Surface certified hard drive.
As for the battery life, Microsoft claims up to 13 hours of regular use.
The Surface Pro X will cost $999. It’s available starting November 5.
