Surface Duo is a new gadget from Microsoft that runs on Android instead of Windows, and it sits between a phone and tablet, since it’s neither of those. Duo is meant to bring the services from Microsoft 365 and the familiarity of Windows 10 with access to the full library of apps available through the Google Play Store.

The device includes two 5.6-inch displays connected using a 360-degree hinge design that creates an 8.1-inch canvas, which you can use together or individually.

It’s available now through the Microsoft Store, and there are two models. The 128GB model costs $1399 while the 256GB model goes for $1499. Although it’s an exciting new gadget, out of the box, you only get the dual-screen device and charger.

With that in mind, here’s a list of the best Surface Pro accessories to help you get the most out of this foldable device from Microsoft.

After spending $1399, it’s a good idea to add some protection to the device, and the $39.99 Microsoft Surface Duo Bumper is a sleek silicone bumper that adheres to the edge of Surface Duo and supports full mobility of the hinge. Also, it allows easy access to all controls and the fingerprint reader, USB-C port, and SIM tray.

If you’re concerned about scratches and germs built up on the screen, the $59.99 screen protector is for you. The InvisibleShield from GlassFusion is a hybrid glass screen protection designed for Surface Duo, which also includes anti-microbial technology that kills 99.99% of the most common surface bacteria.

Although it’s not required, the Surface Duo also supports digital inking, and you can use the Surface Slim Pen to navigate the interface, sketch, sign PDF documents, and more. The pen costs $111.14 (with discount), and it works without pairing it to the device because it uses the Android inking technology.

Surface USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter

The Surface Duo only includes a single USB-C for data transfer, charging, and audio. If you want to connect wired earbuds or headphones, you’ll need the $11.99 USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to listen to music, movies, and calls.

Surface Earbuds

Since the Surface Duo only comes with a single speaker, you may want to consider getting the $199.99 Surface Earbuds, which feature an ultra-comfortable design, intuitive controls, access to Microsoft 365 experiences, and immersive sound for music and calls, and all-day battery.
