On Windows 10, you’re able to change scaling and layout settings using Control Panel, just like it was possible on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. However, starting with the Creators Update, Microsoft moved the display options to the Settings app and removed the ability to change the font size for title bar, menus, message boxes, palette titles, icons, and tooltips.

Although it might appear that Microsoft only wants you to change the system font sizes on Windows 10 using the scaling settings which also changes of other items, sometimes you only need to adjust the size of the font.

System Font Size Changer is a small application that enables you to change the font size on devices running the Windows 10 Creators Update and later without having to touch the Registry settings.

Warning: While the app works as advertised, remember that this is a third-party tool that makes system changes. Use it at your own risk.

Using System Font Size Changer, you can change the font sizes for title bar, menus, message boxes, palette titles, icons, and tooltips.

In addition, it doesn’t require installation, simply double-click the changesize.exe file to launch the app, then select the item, change the font size with the slider, and click Apply.

You can always revert the changes by resetting all the sliders to zero using System Font Size Changer and restarting your computer.
