Google Chrome goes hands-free with Voice Search Hotword extension

Back in I/O 2013 Google talked about going hands-free using Chrome and today the company is delivering in that promise with the release of Voice Search Hotword extension. Once you download the extension from the Chrome Web Store, you simple go to Google.com in a new tab and say “OK Google”, and ask the question — This is pretty much like Google Now in Android devices.

Like everything in Google, Voice Search Hotword is a beta product and one important note is that the extension only sends the question to Google only when it hears “OK Google”. If you want to this new feature a try, head over the Chrome Web Store to download.
