Google Chrome like any other web browser caches images and web files, and saves cookies (files containing information about specific sites) from every website you visit to speed up the loading process and offer a better browsing experience when you return to the same websites.
However, sometimes the cache data and cookies may prevent websites from loading correctly on Chrome, in which case clearing the cache and cookies may solve the problem.
Click the settings (three-dotted) button on the top-right corner.
Select More tools, and click Clear browsing data.
On “Clear browsing data”, select from the drop-down from when you want to clear the browsing data. It’s always recommended to select the “the beginning of time” option.
Select the items you want to clear. In this case, check the Cookies and other site and plugin data, and Cached images and files options.
In addition, note that you can also clear a number of other browsing data, including: browsing and download history, passwords, autofill form data, hosted app data, and media licenses.
Click the Clear browsing data button to complete the task.
Once you completed the steps, you’ll notice that sites may load a little slower, but this is normal as Chrome have to re-cache the data again. You may also need to sign-in again to some of your services as a result of deleting the cookies stored in the web browser.
