Yet another Surface alternative, but the Dell XPS 12 seems really processing.

Recently, a slew marketing slides surfaced onto the internet unveiling Dell’s plans to introduce a new Surface-like hybrid device. Today, the German site WinFuture has published a number of new images that show the Dell XPS 12 with more clarity.

The images unveil that the Dell XPS 12 will be a 2-in-1 convertible device very similar to the Microsoft’s Surface. However, Dell’s tablet has a more laptop-like experience with its detachable keyboard, which might also offer a better “lapability” experience.

According to rumors the technical specifications for the XPS 12 are very impressive. The tablet will sport a 12.5-inch 4K display with stylus support, two USB Type-C ports, HDMI port, and SD card reader.

Dell World will be happening this month (October), as such we’re expecting the company to confirm and share more information on pricing and availability, and if the keyboard will be bundled or if customers will have to spend an $150-$200. If the details and specification end up being true, we might just be looking to a great Surface alternative device running Windows 10.
