Desktop Fun: Deserts panoramic theme for Windows 8/RT (Dual-Monitor)

Deserts panoramic theme for Windows 8 and Windows RT

For this week we have a completely new set of wallpapers with original images for you to enjoy. Deserts panoramic theme for Windows 8 and Windows RT has all the splendor and desolation of a desert to decorate your desktop.

The Sahara Desert, Merzouga, Morocco, and the White Desert, Egypt, are part of this collection with its incredible sand dunes. Among them you can also appreciate the Alabama Hills in Sierra Nevada Mountains, California; Monument Valley, Arizona; as well as the Pinnacles limestone formations in Western Australia and a beautiful sunset in Ghost City, Wuerhe District, Xinjiang.

How to use Windows 8 themes in Windows 7:  Although this theme has been designed only for Windows 8 and Windows RT, it is possible to use these images in Windows 7. Simply rename the theme file *.deskthemepack to *.zip and then extract the images from the compressed file to a new folder. That’s pretty much it. Finally go to Windows Personalization and set the new images as wallpapers.

Tip: If you don’t see the images extended across your dual monitor setup, go to Personalization, then to Desktop Background and, under Picture positions, choose the Span option and finally click Save changes.

You can find more great themes in Pureinfotech — Desktop Fun section and from the Windows Personalization Gallery. More Windows 8 themes can be found here.
