Thank you for the reply, and also thank you for the article. I “solve” this problem by going back to 1151 build for now. Man, I hate that extra click/key press to get to the login screen!

Unfortunately, you can’t. Starting with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, the Lock and sign-in screen is like a single experience and Microsoft no longer allows you to disable it. However, you can set to auto login so it bypasess the lockscreen.
