Microsoft Edge can now preload the contents of the new tab page for a faster experience. Although, the browser doesn’t include an option to set a custom page to open with a new tab, the default page can include a lot of content, since you can customize it to show a background image, links, and news around the web, and these contents can take some time to load.

If you want to speed up the experience on Windows 10, the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge now includes an option to preload the new tab page to speed up the process.

In this guide, you’ll learn the steps to enable (or disable) the option to preload new tab page on Microsoft Edge.
