Sorry to hear. For specific geo-restricted content things like this are expected. Companies are working hard to protect their services. For example, on the extensions I mentioned on the article only one them actually let you use Netflix or the popular BBC iPlayer.
I would recommend you to visit the Chrome Web Store and try different extensions and see which one has the technology to allow you to use iHeartradio.

Also, remember that the main purpose of using VPN on your web browser is to protect your online security, accessing restricted content is just a plus if it works for what you want.
