While Microsoft begins testing the multiplayer beta version of Halo 5: Guardians on December 29th (12 pm Eastern Time), the company is announcing today that is now taking pre-orders for the first person shooter game coming to Xbox One, which will release sometime in fall 2015. All those interested have the choice of pre-ordering one of the three editions of Halo 5: Guardians, including the “Limited Collector’s Edition” for $249.99.
The Standard Edition has a price tag of $59.99, like most Xbox One games, and it includes the game, plus a Halo 5: Guardians exclusive poster (only available for those who pre-order).
The Limited Edition has a price tag of $99.99 and it includes all the features of the Standard Edition, plus digital content “to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book.”
The Limited Collector’s Edition cost $249.99 and it includes everything from the Limited Edition, plus additional content such as “a commemorative numbered statute designed by 343 Industries.” Microsoft will be sharing more details for this edition on a later date.
Everyone who got access to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta will have their unlocked content automatically carried over to the final version at launch.
The multiplayer beta test of Halo begins December 29th and will end on January 18th, and it’s available for anyone who purchase Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Pre-orders are available at Wal-Mart, Microsoft Store, Amazon, and Best Buy in the United States.
