Halo: Spartan Assault coming to the Windows 8 ecosystem in July (update)

Halo franchise, perhaps the best game of all time exclusive on Xbox, now is coming to Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 in July.

Ahead of E3 2013 Microsoft is announcing that Halo: Spartan Assault will come to the Windows 8 ecosystem this summer. It’ll cost $6.99 and is also the first Halo franchise title optimized for touch-enabled devices.

Halo: Spartan Assault moves away from the first-person shoot to a top-down perspective action shooting game. The game includes 25 missions, it will feature weekly challenges, leaderboards, and 40+ in-game achievements and medals.

There also will be an in-game purchase items including weapons, armor, and other abilities within the game. Playing Spartan Assault will also get you experience points and unlock new achievements and emblems for the Halo 4 Spartan game.

Halo: Spartan Assault on your Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 device:

Update: The game is now available at the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store. The price of the game as previously mentioned is $6.99 and because Microsoft has separate stores, you’ll have to pay for the game on your Windows 8 device and once again in your Windows Phone 8 phone.
