Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 14361 for PC and Mobile fixing a lot of issues, but there are also a number of known issues. The new preview part of the Anniversary Update is rolling out now to Insiders through the Fast ring with a few minor improvements on Windows Ink, some interesting changes on the Settings app, and Microsoft is even introducing enhancements for Hyper-V Containers.

In addition, the software maker has published the bug fixes for build 14361, as well as many of known issues for both PC and Mobile that Insiders should be aware of before installing the new test version of Windows 10.

Here are the most important fixes and known issues for build 14361.

Fixes for Windows 10 build 14361

  • Microsoft Edge should no longer fail loading YouTube and other websites.
  • Microsoft Edge should no longer display a gray bar on the left side.
  • Microsoft Edge download notification had been updated to include filename, download status, and site domain on separate lines.
  • Fixed issues causing icons to disappear from tabs in Microsoft Edge on DPI changes.
  • Start has been updated to reduce the amount of dead space at the top of the menu.
  • Changed Start behavior to hide scrollbar immediately after the mouse moves away from the area.
  • Fixed problem with Start not dismissing after launching Sticky Notes.
  • Cortana should now be more reliable listening when you tap the microphone button.
  • Fixed keyboard navigation problem with Universal apps.
  • Fixed issue with apps like Photos not working correctly.
  • Fixed issue entering a Wi-Fi password in the network flyout.
  • Action Center notifications icons size has been reduced from 64×64 to 48×48 pixels to improve the use of space.
  • You can now open the clock and calendar flyout using the Windows key + Alt + D keyboard shortcut.
  • Task Manager settings are now preserved after an upgrade.
  • Windows Defender will minimize notifications and only show alerts when action has been taken or additional action is necessary.
  • Windows Update Active Hours has been updated to increase the range of hours from 10 to 12.
  • Fixed issue configuring a picture account.
  • Fixed issue with Command Prompt not maximizing correctly.
  • Fixed issue with the volume icon showing incorrect state of 0 percent and muted.
  • Fixed issue for Storage Settings not saving configurations.

Known issues for Windows 10 build 14361

  • Due to a problem French users won’t be getting build 14361 until the bug is fixed.
  • Text prediction using the Japanese IME will freeze your computer.
  • The Privacy section on Settings will crash the app. However, settings won’t get lost.
  • When you click on a file download link outside of Microsoft Edge, the browser will open a new tab and close it without doing anything.
  • On some languages, such as Chinese or Portuguese (Brazil), you won’t be able to launch Start while installing an app.

Fixes for Windows 10 Mobile build 14361

  • Fixed issue causing phone to freeze after touching the screen using Narrator.
  • Fixed sudden gray bar appearing on the left side of Microsoft Edge.
  • Fixed issue with “Find on Page” in Microsoft Edge.
  • DPI settings will be preserved after an upgrade.
  • Fixed flickering issues playing videos on Facebook.
  • Fixed text problem in the Settings app.
  • Improved notification dismissal making easier to close notifications with hero image, and dismissing multiple interactive notifications should have an improved experience.
  • Fixed issue on Action Center closing unexpectedly, and when receiving new notifications will not prevent Action Center from opening.
  • Fixed now charging system sound playing twice when connecting a charger.
  • Fixed issue on the Settings app configuring a pin password.
  • Fixed issue where the Lumia 535 and 540 were not displaying a flash toggle in the Camera app.
  • Updated text prediction engine for multilingual users.
  • One-handed keyboard now works on 5-inch devices.

Known issues for Windows 10 Mobile build 14361

  • New Cortana features may not work correctly.
  • After the upgrade Quick Actions icons will not retain their order.
  • On devices with Dual-SIM devices the second SIM will not work.
