Now you’ve completely confused me. Today is 12/19, and my surface says it is completely up to date, without the insider program. What do you mean update to the 10 November update? We’re well beyond that.

You’ll be better trying to get your Surface to Windows 10 November update (1511), instead of getting the Insider build which currently has a number of known issues.

Ok. So you think if I turn on insider for the desktop (Surface) it will make things right? It is currently up to date with normal Windows 10 updates.

I think you just found the solution to your problem. I think, the phone version is OK, but you have to update your Surface. I have a Lumia 950.

My phone is running build 10586.11 (insider) – how did you get windows 10 mobile without it being insider? My Surface is running WIndows 10 build 10240 (non-insider).

It’s all possible, but it should be available to you either way. Right now, I’m running Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.29 (non-insider) and it’s working OK. And on desktop, it works with Windows 10 version 1511 (non-insider) and the latest Windows 10 build 11082 (insider).

Make sure that you have the contact already saved on your phone too, may be this could also help.
