Hi

Managed to connect to the VPN but then my internet connection conked out. Suppose it's because of the IP address. Will be trying dynamic DNS. thanks so much for the great post. =)
One bad thing about this is only one client accepted at a time =(

Hello Jun,
Unless you created another VPN user account, you need to enter the password of your admin Windows account.
PS: Also check your firewalls.

Thanks,

Hi,

Really beginner here but would like to clarify this:

It seems I only had a chance to enter admin and password when I was logging in to my network server. Didn't seem to have the chance to set a password for VPN. So from my client computer, when I tried to set up and they asked for admin name and password, is that the one I entered for my network as well?

I'm getting error 807: The network connection between your computer and the VPN server was interrupted. This can be caused by a problem in the VPN transmission and is commonly the result of internet latency or simply that your VPN server has reached capacity. Please try to reconnect to the VPN server. If this problem persists, contact the VPN administrator and analyze quality of network connectivity.

Can't find any solutions for this on forums too.

Is there something I'm missing out on?

Please help me. Thanks in advance!

Thank you, this worked for me on Windows 7 x64 pro. Users need to be aware that depending on where they are connecting from, the VPN port could be blocked by firewall (especially at corporate offices, or school/universities).

This is clean clear and simple. I leave 1 computer at home, hosting the VPN connection, i enjoy the convinience of accesing all my LAN shared storages.

Thank you again!
