As part of the Patch Tuesday for August 2019, Microsoft is releasing update KB4512508 for computers running the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, version 1903.
KB4512508 bumps the version number to build 18362.295, and according to the company, improves security and fixes problems with device connected to a domain controller.
In addition, the software maker is also rolling out quality updates for older versions of Windows 10, including version 1809, 1803, 1709, 1703, 1607, and for the original release.
Update KB4512508 for Windows 10 version 1903
Microsoft has announced KB4512508 in the Windows support site, and it’s referred as “August 13, 2019—KB4512508 (OS Build 18362.295)” If you’re already running the Windows 10 May 2019 Update on your device, this update will address these problems:
- Addresses an issue that may prevent devices from starting up or cause them to continue restarting if they are connected to a domain that is configured to use MIT Kerberos realms. Domain controllers and domain members are both affected.
- Security updates to Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Cryptography, Windows Datacenter Networking, Windows Virtualization, Windows Storage and Filesystems, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows Linux, Windows Kernel, Windows Server, Windows MSXML, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge.

Update KB4511553 for Windows 10 version 1809
Microsoft has also announced KB4511553 in the Windows support site, and it’s referred as “August 13, 2019—KB4511553 (OS Build 17763.678)” If you’re already running the Windows 10 October 2019 Update on your device, this update will address these problems:
- Addresses an issue that may prevent devices from starting up or cause them to continue restarting if they are connected to a domain that is configured to use MIT Kerberos realms. Domain controllers and domain members are both affected.
- Addresses an issue with a Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) console user interface (UI) exception that occurs when you expand the Computers directory.
- Security updates to Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Internet Explorer, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Cryptography, Windows Virtualization, Windows Datacenter Networking, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows Server, Windows Kernel, Windows MSXML, and Microsoft Edge.
Update KB4512501 for Windows 10 version 1803
The April 2018 Update (version 1803) is getting update KB4512501, and the Windows support site referred as “August 13, 2019—KB4512501 (OS Build 17134.950)”. If you’re already running version 1803 on your PC, this update will address these issues:
- Addresses an issue that may prevent devices from starting up or cause them to continue restarting if they are connected to a domain that is configured to use MIT Kerberos realms. Domain controllers and domain members are both affected.
- Security updates to Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Datacenter Networking, Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows Input and Composition, Windows MSXML, Internet Explorer, Windows Server, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Cryptography, Windows Server, Windows Virtualization, Microsoft Edge, and Windows Shell.
Update for older versions of Windows 10
Even though version 1709 (Fall Creators Update) is no longer supported, organizations running the Enterprise or Education edition of Windows 10 are getting update KB4512516 to fix some issues and bumps the version number to 16299.1331.
Windows 10 version 1703 (Creators Update) is no longer supported either, but organizations with devices still running this release can now download KB4512507, which fixes a few problems and ramps the version number to build 15063.1988.
Also, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, version 1697, is getting update KB4512517 to address some problems with the no longer supported operating system bumping the version number to build 14393.3144.
Finally, the original release of Windows 10 is getting update KB4512497 bumping the version number to 10240.18305 to address a few problems.

These updates are available immediately, they’ll download and install automatically, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and clicking the Check for updates button.
