Windows 10 build 18965.1005 (20H1) releases to test servicing mechanism

Microsoft releases update to test pipeline servicing for large updates of Windows 10.

In addition to Windows 10 build 18965, Microsoft is now rolling out build 18965.1005 in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program. This is the preview number 26, and it’s releasing as a cumulative update KB4517787.

According to the company, update KB4517787 doesn’t introduce new changes. Instead, it’s a cumulative update meant to test the company’s test servicing pipeline with big updates and bumps the version number to 18965.1005.

Windows 10 build 18965 the latest preview with new features and changes, including a new option to control resuming apps on restart and a new version of the Feedback app with a new interface and improved problem feedback submission.

Although there are no ISO files for Windows 10 build 18965.1005, the update is available immediately through the Fast ring. This preview build will download and install automatically on your device, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and clicking the Check for updates button.
