Lenovo unveils the YOGA 710 & 510 PCs, and ideapad MIIX 310 tablet

At MWC2016 in Spain, Lenovo introduces the new YOGA 710 and YOGA 510 laptops, and the ideapad MIIX 310 tablet.

Mobile World Congress — Lenovo unveils three new Windows 10 devices, including the two convertible laptops: YOGA 710 and YOGA 510, and a new detachable tablet: ideapad MIIX 310.

Lenovo calls these new devices “travel-ready”. The new YOGA 710 and 510 are convertible laptops designed to offer high-performance and long lasting battery life. The ideapad MIIX 310 is a new affordable tablet designed to consume content on the go with up to 10 hours of battery life, detachable keyboard, and the option for 4G LTE for a price that won’t empty your wallet.

YOGA 710


Lenovo YOGA 710 15-inch

At 1.04kg (2.3 pounds), the YOGA 710 comes in two sizes and they both feature Intel’s latest sixth-generation Core processors. The 14-inch model is powered by a Core i7 processor, while the 11-inch model features a Core m5 processor. The device sports a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, storage is limited to up to 256GB, and there is an optional NVIDIA GeForce graphics. In addition, Lenovo claims up to 8 hours of battery life of video playback.

As characteristic on the Lenovo YOGA line, the 710 can be used in four different modes, including laptop, stand, tent, and tablet mode. According to the company the “hinge antenna” design allows to deliver up to 20 percent better Wi-Fi connectivity.

YOGA 510

Lenovo YOGA 510 14-inch

The YOGA 510 also comes in two sizes, including a 14-inch model weighing 1.75kg (3.8 pounds) and a 15-inch model weighing 2.08kg (4.6 pounds). Both models feature Intel’s latest Core processors up to a Core i7 series and an optional AMD Radeon R7 M460 2GB graphic card. Identically to the YOGA 710, the 510 series can also be used in four different modes, including laptop, stand, tent, and tablet mode.

Ideapad MIIX 310

Lenovo ideapad MIIX 310 2-in-1 tablet

The ideapad MIIX 310 is an affordable 10-inch Windows 10 tablet that also includes optional 4G LTE connectivity. The MIIX 310 features a 10-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, up to 64GB eMMC internal storage and 4GB of memory. It only weighs 580 grams and offers 10 hours of battery life. Unlike Microsoft’s Surface and other 2-in-1 devices, Lenovo is also bundling the detachable keyboard with the tablet at no extra cost.

Price and release dates

  • The YOGA 710 11-inch laptop starts at €799 ($880), available starting in May 2016.
  • The YOGA 710 14-inch laptop starts at €899 ($990), available starting in May 2016.
  • The YOGA 5101 14-inch laptop starts at €479($528), available starting in April 2016.
  • The YOGA 5101 15-inch laptop starts at €699($770), available starting in April 2016.
  • The ideapad MIIX 310 10-inch tablet starts at €269($297), available starting in June 2016.
