Lenovo unveils Yoga 720, Flex 5, and Miix 320 Windows 10 devices

Mobile World Congress 2017 — Lenovo introduces two new convertible laptops running Windows 10, including the Yoga 720 and Yoga Flex 5 (520), and the detachable Miix 320 balancing design and affordability.

The Yogas feature Intel’s latest 7th Gen Kaby Lake processors, while the Miix 320 packs Intel’s Atom X5 chip.

Let’s dive into the most important aspects of these new devices from Lenovo.

Lenovo Yoga 720

The new Lenovo 720 laptop is available in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch, and both models are configurable up to Core i7, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics for better gaming performance, 4K resolution display, super-fast Solid-State Drive, and premium Dolby enhanced audio. And you can even select a model with fingerprint reader to enable Windows Hello for a fast and secure sign-in experience on Windows 10.

Lenovo Yoga Flex 5

Technically, it’s the Yoga 520, but in the United States, the device will be known as “Yoga Flex 5”. This is a more affordable option with a 14-inch screen and 1920×1080-pixel resolution.

It’s configurable up to Intel’s Core i7 processor, integrated graphics, Solid-State Drive, and optional fingerprint reader to use Windows Hello.

Lenovo Miix 320

Then there is the Miix 320, which is a lightweight detachable PC that can hold up to 10 hours with a single charge. This device features a 10.1-inch screen and 1920×1080-pixel resolution. It works great as a laptop, but you can quickly detach the keyboard to use it as tablet.

Under the hood, you’ll find an Intel Atom X5 processor, integrated graphics, and up to 128GB of eMMC storage, and with optional LTE connectivity, you can connect nearly anywhere.

As for release date and pricing, Lenovo plans to make these devices available sometime later this year.

The Yoga 720 will be available in April 2017 with a starting price of $850 (13-inch) and $1100 (15-inch), while the Yoga 520 (Flex 5) will be available in May 2017 and pricing will start at $800.

The Lenovo Miix 320 with keyboard will be available this July, and it’ll cost $200 for the base model.

While these may not be the most impressive devices, they have great features typically found of high-end models, which now are package in a more affordable price range.
