Microsoft is giving away 100 free albums, including from U2, Rihanna, Eminem, and Katy Perry

Free music download from Microsoft

A few weeks back Microsoft begun offering a big collection of music through the Xbox Music app, all free of charge. Originally, there were over 100 albums you can choose from, but shortly after the announcement, for some reason, users were only able to download around 50 albums. However, today the free music offer is back fully.

For a limited time, Xbox Music users can download 100 albums for free, no strings attach, and you do not need and Xbox Music Pass to get this deal. Among the choices, you can pick from popular artists such as Eminem, Rihanna, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Madonna, U2, and many more.

All the albums are free; you can download them and then import the songs to iTunes, Google Music, Spotify, or to any music platform of choice.

The offer is valid until December 15, you can launch the Music app in Windows and download the albums that way, but the best way to get all the albums is by using the Music Deals app for Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone 8.1.
