Universal Microsoft Health app arrives to Windows 10 PCs and tablets, but it's not as good as web interface or previous MSN Health & Fitness app. It's identical to the current mobile app.

Microsoft officially launches the Microsoft Health universal app for Windows 10 devices. Up until now, the Microsoft Band companion app was only available on mobile devices, including for Windows phones, Android, and iOS, and now the software giant is making available a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app for PCs and tablets.

The Microsoft Health UWP app is available immediately for download from the Windows Store.

If you have been using the Microsoft Health on a mobile device, the desktop version of the app will look very familiar. The app offers the ability to sync your Microsoft Band manually with your PC or Surface using a USB cable, manage tiles, personalize and update the firmware of the fitness tracker.

In addition, Microsoft is adding Live Tiles support to display information, such as current steps count and calorie burn. Of course, the app will sync all data from your mobile app as well.

If you still deciding on a Microsoft fitness tracker, the online Microsoft Store, Best Buy, and Amazon are offering the Microsoft Band 2 for $175, which translates into a $75 discount, and those who order will get free shipping as well.
