Microsoft is now making available its Launcher version 6 for Android devices, which according to the company has a new codebase that delivers new visuals, features, and performance improvements.

The Launcher app is an alternative to the original launcher experience to customize the look and feel of your Android phone, and in the latest version, you’re getting a bunch of new features. For example, you’re now getting a new dark mode, personalized view, landscape mode, and some improvements on performance.

According to the company, the new dark theme reduces eye strain when using the phone at night or in low light conditions. Also, the feature is compatible with the default dark mode available with Android.

Landscape mode is a new feature that allows the Launcher to support vertical and horizontal orientations to improve the viewing the experience.

In version 6, you can use the launcher to give the phone a consistent look and feel with custom icon packs and adaptive icons.

The new personalized news feed updates throughout the day with top trending stories, making it easy to stay on top of the information that’s relevant to you. Also, Microsoft Launcher version 6 includes the ability to set fresh new wallpapers automatically every day (provided by Bing) or choose your own photos.

You can download the app from the Google’s Play Store on devices Android running 7.0 or higher.
