Microsoft offers 360 owners $75 credit to move to Xbox One

Microsoft ad $75 store credit offer for Xbox 360 owners

New Microsoft marketing campaign is giving Xbox 360 owners a $75 store credit when buying an Xbox One or Xbox One bundle. The company recently started offering a new Kinect-less version of the console for $399 and now with $75 in store credit, technically, brings the cost down to $325.

The store credit that users are getting isn’t toward the purchase of an new console, instead customers can buy an Xbox One with or without Kinect and then they will get an Xbox promotional code that can be used for games, add-ons, movies, and other digital content.

The promotion is currently appearing to Xbox 360 owners and the deal is running until 11:59 PM, PST, July 31st. However, it isn’t clear if the promotional code is for everyone or just for selected users, as the ad states “YOU, one of our best customers”, suggesting is only for selected customers.

Microsoft Xbox $75 offer for 360 owners disclaimer

According to the disclaimer, the deal started on July 7th and is only for U.S. Xbox 360 owners with no word if the promotion will reach other countries. Another thing to note is that it appears that Microsoft is tying the Microsoft Account and Xbox Live gamertag, as the company states that the code worth $75 will be delivered via the Xbox One console’s message center by August 15th. Also those getting this deal have until October 15th to redeem the code, after that the code must be used by October 14th, 2015.
