Microsoft completes the preview of its Office for Windows 10 apps and now they are ready for download on its final form. Just days before the official launch of Windows 10, Microsoft removes the preview label from its Office apps and delivers the final version to Windows 10 users.
Although the apps are considered mobile apps, because they have been designed and optimized to work on touch-enabled devices, such as tablets and phones running Windows 10, the Office apps also work well on desktop computers.
The apps do not include major changes since the last preview, but the software maker is including various improvements and refinements to get the apps ready for daily use.
The Office for Windows 10 apps are lightweight, fast, and friendly. They also pack all the basic editing tools that users need, the company is even integrating OneDrive to make editing and creating new documents a seamless experience across devices.
Office for Windows 10 apps include Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, and OneNote.
Insiders can start downloading the apps today, but even though they are no longer in preview, it doesn’t mean the apps are completed or finalized. This time around and moving forward, Microsoft seems to be offering its products as a service, in the same way it will work with Windows 10, where users will continue to see new improvements in the regular basis.
