Tap to pay with the Microsoft Wallet app is now available for Windows 10 Mobile users. The new feature, similar to iOS and Android, is a cloud-base payment technology that allows users to quickly and securely make payments for goods using, in this case, a Windows phone.
Currently, tap to pay is available only in United States for Microsoft flagship phones featuring NFC, including the Lumia 950, 950XL, and 650.
In this guide, you’ll learn the steps to set up tap to pay on your phone running the latest version of Windows 10 Mobile.
How to configure tap to pay on Windows 10 Mobile

Open the Microsoft Wallet app (or download from the Store).

Tap the Sign in button.

Tap the Add a payment card.

Tap Accept to allow Microsoft Wallet to use NFC.

Select a card associated with your Microsoft account, or tap Add a new card. In which case you’ll need to provide all basic information of the card holder.

Enter your phone’s PIN.
Note: You’ll probably be prompted to reconfigure your phone PIN again. If this is the case, go to Settings > Account > Sign-in options, remove your PIN and add it again (you can use the same PIN you configured before). -
Go back to Microsoft Wallet and re-enter the PIN.

Choose whether you want Microsoft Wallet to know your location.

Accept the licensing terms, and tap Next.

Enter the security code for your card and tap Next.

Select from the drop-down menu a method to verify your account, and tap Next.

Enter the verification code and tap Submit.

Your card has now been added, tap Go to my cards to see your payment methods.
Once you have set up mobile payments using NFC on your Windows phone, you can use “tap to pay” no over a million retail locations where the contactless payment symbol or the Microsoft Wallet logo appears.
At any time, you remove a card by opening the Microsoft Wallet app, tap the + button, and select Remove from Microsoft Wallet.
Wrapping things up
Microsoft Wallet with tap to pay works with MasterCard and Visa cards, and it’s available for users running Windows 10 Mobile build 14360 or later. In addition, you can add reward and membership cards; as long as it has a bar code, you can scan it to your phone.
