Surface Go 2 picks up June 2020 firmware update

Surface Go 2 receives new firmware update to fix pen performance and improve system stability.

Microsoft has released a firmware update for its Surface Go 2 with some improvements to improve the pen performance when your palm is on the device and overall system stability.

The firmware update is dated June 18, and it’s available for devices running Windows 10 version 1909 or greater.

The following improvements are available for Surface Go 2:

  • Surface Touch – Firmware 64.26.0.0: Improves pen performance when your palm is on the device.
  • Surface UEFI – Firmware 1.0.1.0: Improves system stability.

The update should download and install automatically, but if you have not received it, then you get it from Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and try to force the download manually.

The base model comes with an Intel Pentium Gold processor that starts at $399.99, but you can also choose the better model featuring an 8th generation Core m3 processor, which should give you over 60 percent more performance.
