Microsoft is now rolling out the first firmware update for the new Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7.
The updates are available for Windows 10 October 2019 Update and higher releases, and both devices are getting system firmware as well as driver updates to improve the system experience.
Surface Laptop 3 firmware
Here are all the new fixes and improvements in this new Surface Laptop 3 update:
Intel-based laptop
- Surface System Aggregator– Firmware: 19.53.139.0 helps improve battery life.
- Surface Integration Service Device – System devices: 5.80.139.0 improves integration between services.
- Surface Integration – System devices: 14.39.139.0 improves integration between system services.
- Intel Iris Plus Graphics – Display adapters: 25.20.100.7101 helps improve battery life.
AMD-based laptop
- Surface System Aggregator– Firmware: 16.16.139.0 helps improve battery life.
- Surface Integration – System devices: 18.47.139.0 improves integration between services.
- Surface Integration Service Device – System devices: 5.80.139.0 improves integration between services.
- Surface Hot Plug – System devices: 2.42.139.0 improves device reliability.
- Surface Hid Mini Driver – Human interface devices: 2.46.139.0 improves device reliability.
Surface Pro 7 firmware
Here are all the new fixes and improvements in this new Surface Pro 7 update:
- Surface System Aggregator– Firmware: 14.42.139.0 helps improve battery life.
- Surface Integration – System devices: 5.80.139.0 improves integration between services.
- Surface Integration Service Device – System devices: 21.25.139.0 improves integration between services.
- Realtek High Definition Audio(SST)– Sound, video and game controller: 6.0.8778.2 improves Cortana speech experience.
- Realtek Device Extension: 6.0.8778.2 improves Cortana speech experience.
The update should download and install automatically, but if you have not received it on your Surface, then you can go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and try to force the download manually.
