Although the Surface Laptop was originally unveiled in four different colors (platinum, graphite gold, burgundy, and cobalt blue), when it became available customers found out that these colors were only available for the Intel’s Core i5 model with 8GB of memory, and those who wanted the Core i7 model were stuck with the platinum color.
However, this is about to change, as the Microsoft Store (US) is now listing the Core i7 model of Surface Laptop in platinum, graphite gold, burgundy, and cobalt blue.
At least initially, it seems that the Core i7 model with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage will be the one coming in different colors. The Core i7 model with 8GB of memory will continue to be offered only in platinum — at least for now.

The Surface Laptop with the new colors will be available “soon,” they’ll be priced at $2199 — same price as the platinum variant.
