Surface Laptop, Surface Book 2 get May 2018 firmware update

Microsoft pushes updates for Surface devices to enhance compatibility with the Windows 10 April 2018 Update.

Microsoft is now making available two new firmware updates for its Surface Book 2 and Surface Laptop to improve their support for Windows 10 version 1803 (April 2018 Update).

On Surface Book 2, the update includes new driver for Surface Integration that improves hibernation with the latest version of Windows 10.

The new firmware update is available to download from the Surface Book 2 Drivers and Firmware page. (You need to download the SurfaceBook2_Win10_17134_1802209_1.msi file.)

On Surface Laptop, Microsoft is making available a similar update that also improves hibernation after installing the April 2018 Update.

The new firmware update is available to download from the Surface Laptop Drivers and Firmware page. (You need to download the SurfaceLaptop_Win10_17134_1802808_0.msi file.)

The update details for Surface Laptop has been listed in the history support page, but for some reason, the changes for Surface Book 2 are not showing up. However, you can find the changes at the Surface blog.
