Surface Pro and Surface Book February 2018 firmware update release

Surface devices get new firmware update to bring improved system and battery stability.

Microsoft is now rolling out a number of firmware updates for its Surface Book, Surface Pro, and for the one offering LTE Advanced connectivity.

According to the changelogs the latest updates are dated February 13, and they deliver changes to improve system and battery stability on those devices.

Here’s the list with changes for Surface Book, Pro, and Pro LTE Advanced.

Surface Book

  • Surface Embedded Controller Firmware — 90.2098.256.0 improves system stability.
  • Surface Integration — 1.1.339.1 improves battery stability.

Surface Pro LTE Advanced

  • Surface System Aggregator Firmware — 233.2102.1.0 improves system stability.

Surface Pro

  • Surface System Aggregator Firmware — 233.2099.256.0 improves system stability.

The new February 2018 firmware update for Surface Pro and Surface Book should download and install automatically. However, if you have not received the update on your Surface, then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and try to force the download manually.
