Microsoft is releasing a new update in April for its Surface Studio desktop computer, which delivers a new audio driver that adds support for Wake On Voice.

The new driver is making its way through Windows Update for Surface Studio devices running the Windows 10 Creators Update. Once installed, it’ll allow you to use the “Hey Cortana” voice command to wake up your computer.

According to the April 19 release note, this update includes a new “Realtek Semiconductor Corp. driver update for Realtek High Definition Audio(SST)” that “enables Wake On Voice from Modern Standby.”

The Wake On Voice functionality isn’t exactly new, as it was something Intel has been supporting since the Skylake process launched. However, Surface Studio is one of the first devices allowing voice command to make use of this option. Microsoft is also expected to enable “Hey Cortana” on new devices later this year.

If you own a Microsoft’s Surface Studio the update will download and install automatically, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and clicking the Check for updates button.
