The Tulip was declared Albany’s official flower on July 1, 1948 by Mayor Erastus Corning 2nd. A year after, on May 14, 1949, the first Tulip Festival was held. Since then, every spring, many people gather at Washington Park to be part of the traditional ceremonies. As well many photographers take advantage of the beauty surrounding the colorful event, and among them is photographer Thiyagarajan Swaminathan whose pictures you’ll find in this free theme for Windows.
