Going from Windows 1.0 to Windows 8, the installation process movie

What a long ride it’s been, here is a video that shows the installation process from the very first version of Windows originally released back in 1985, all the way to Windows 8, which was recently released in October 26, 2012.

The video comes from a Windows enthusiast who created an screencast installing Windows 1.0 and going through every other major release, such as Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, and even Windows Millenium, until Windows 8 using a virtual machine.

It’s been about 27 years since the release of Windows 1.0 and software technology has change dramatically through all those years, just imagine trying to install Windows 8 with floppy disks today, how many days could this take?

Now, make a batch of coffee and grab a box of snacks because this video is basically a history movie and it last over an hour.
